Every measurement carries its confidence and the basis for it. Citations live once per source, not once per row.

Check every measurement against its source
Read this before you use the data
Every measurement here was published by someone else. We convert the azimuths to one convention, reproject to WGS 84, normalize the location confidence, and cite the map each row came from. We have not re-measured or corrected anything.
Before you rely on a measurement, open its record and check the value against the original.
- Convention. An azimuth may be right-hand-rule strike, dip azimuth, or a digitized symbol rotation. We use whichever the source declares. If a source declares it wrongly, it stays wrong here.
- Position. The precision tier (solid GPS, ring digitized, dashed approximate) is the publisher's own figure, or our estimate from the map scale if they gave none. Where there is neither, it is unknown, not zero.
- Context. Map unit, formation and age come from the publisher's unit polygon. They carry that polygon's boundary uncertainty.
These notes ship with every export in README.txt. sources.csv has the citation for each map.
